Dodge is celebrating the end of the Dodge Charger and Challenger as we know them with a series of seven Last Call models. On Wednesday, they unveiled the fifth model – the 2023 Charger King Daytona – to honor drag racer William “Big Willie” Robinson and his 1969 Dodge Charger, also named “King Daytona”.
The King Daytona is based on the Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye, but boosts the supercharged 6.2-liter V-8 from 797 hp up to 807 hp. It also comes with an orange exterior, hood pins, and 20-inch Satin Carbon Warp Speed wheels. The interior has black nappa leather/Alcantara seats with orange contrast stitching and a Harman Kardon audio system, sunroof, and navigation.
Production is limited to 300 units and ordering information will be released in the fall. All 2023 Charger and Challenger models will also feature signifiers that they are the last of their kind, with a commemorative plaque displaying the scripts “Last Call”, “Designed in Auburn Hills”, and “Assembled in Brampton”.
